Finch Feeders

The classic finch feeders were designed with very small openings to better feed Nyjer seed from. Three basic finch designs have evolved over the years. The classic designs, the mesh or “sock” and the upside-down feeding design.

Aspect

Aspect Finch Feeders are our best-selling traditional finch feeders. Like all of their feeders, they have lifetime guarantees and we try to keep a full supply of parts in the store so we can repair them for you quickly. If you do not live close to us you can call their toll free number and they will ship you parts. They are extremely well built in the USA. Perhaps their greatest feature is the Quick-clean base. The snap out with just a two finger pinch which is extremely helpful after a heavy rain and seed gets clumpy inside. I love that this provides a “flip to fill” feature. I turn the feeder upside-down remove the base and fill the feeder from the bottom. This ensures that I am always rotating the seed in my finch feeder. The other add on features make them even more versatile. There are 3 different size trays and 3 different size hoods that fit perfectly with their feeders. These help reduce waste and protect your seed from the elements..

Bird Quest Feeder

BirdQuest feeders from Songbird Essentials are very popular. I have found that my finches like the spiral perch design which allows them to reach forward to pick out the seed verses having to turn sideways like they do on traditional feeders. The spiral design enables them to have more ports than most feeders. They also feature a removable base for easier cleaning and the “flip to fill” design.
