Oriole Feeders
Many years ago, people were noticing these bright orange and black birds landing on their hummingbird feeders and awkwardly trying to drink the nectar. This gave rise to a new line of feeders that catered to the oriole’s likes and needs. After studying the birds in more depth, they found that they also like citrus and fruit. Feeders were designed with larger perches and access holes for their larger bills along with ways to provide fruit and grape jelly. Over the past years we have seen a lot of bird feeder companies come and go. We have also tried many designs and quickly discontinued them because they just didn’t work as well as they looked. The selection of feeders you find within our store are proven to work and come in two basic concepts. We have “pretties” and “practices”. Some feeders are both but generally a feeder will often sacrifice functionality to be pretty. We do our best to find feeders that are made in the USA and have lifetime warranties.
OrioleFest
As I understand it, the OrioleFest was the first real oriole feeder on the market. We have been carrying it from the time we opened our doors and it is far and away our best-selling oriole feeder. It is particularly good if you are trying to attract these beautiful birds for the first time. It gives the bird access to all three of their favorites and you can let your orioles “tell” you which they prefer. If they aren’t eating the oranges, leave them off, etc.
Holland Hill Fruit & Jelly or Double Jelly
Many who have feed orioles for a longtime settle in on feeding jelly. Lots of jelly. These feeders give larger capacity jelly cups.
Woodlink GG01 Oriole Feeder
Some prefer feeders that have hold a lot of jelly. This feeder is made from recycled milk jugs and features extra-large jelly dishes and two prongs for securing orange halves. Woodlink is located in Mt. Ayr Iowa.
